Are you new to podcasts?
Podcasts are pretty popular these days (and I can see why). It’s so nice to be able to listen to something while driving, cleaning, or exercising. I have to admit that for a while I wasn’t very familiar with podcasts and now it seems I can’t get enough of them. Mainly because I can listen and learn on the go. If podcasts benefit me, I figured they could benefit my readers so I did some research and have compiled a list of Top 10 Podcasts for Homeschoolers. Many people have two questions when it comes to podcasts, “How do I listen to podcasts and when will I have time to listen to podcasts”? The answer to those is quite simple and might surprise you.
How to listen to podcasts
If you want to listen to any of the podcasts listed on this blog post, simply go to the link and click on it. You will be directed to the page. However, to listen on the go, you will need to get an app that allows for podcast listening. Your drives are about to get way more interesting!
Listen from your smartphone or tablet:
- iPhone has a free app – Apple Podcast app. You can search for podcasts, download and play them. You will even be able to rate and review so the authors know how they are doing with their content.
- Android users – Google music streaming app is also free and works with podcasts.
- Stand-alone Paid apps such as Pocket Casts, Overcast and The Podcast Player. You can find these in the app store on your phone or tablet.
When am I going to listen to podcasts?
In today’s fast-paced world people don’t have time to do much of anything much less sit down and listen to a recording. It’s the same premise as sitting down to watch a T.V. program. We just don’t have time. But I am going to give you some ideas of how you can listen to some podcasts and still get your day to day schedule accomplished. Try a few of these out and see which one works best for you.
- Before your family wakes up. Maybe while you sip that cup of coffee.
- While doing dishes or laundry
- While driving (This is my favorite time to listen)
- While taking a walk (My second favorite. Podcasts and Peloton)
- While Cleaning the house. This could make cleaning way more fun!
